You've probably noticed the heavy equipment digging along Holder Drive and south highway 63. The City is installing miles of new sewer and water mains. The water and sewer pipes not only benefit current businesses and homes but open up additional property to development. Having land available for development is important because it can bring new businesses and jobs into our area. The work is already paying dividends at the industrial park and the Walmart Supercenter site at Highway 63 and Holder Drive. Future improvements include a new water tower at the industrial park and a new twelve inch water loop which will increase both water volume and pressure in the area and benefit fire protection.
These improvements are made possible from the collection of local sales taxes. When you shop locally your taxes stay local and are put toward vital services and important public works projects in the City and the County.
